First introduced in 1993 as a little super mini, it quickly became one of the best selling cars in Europe, mainly because of its affordability and the many ways it could improve performance. Even a standard version of a used Fiat Punto has a very sporty silhouette as for such little car, but the real monsters were created by professional tuners or enthusiasts.
The first thing( except the look, of course )that differs the used Fiat Punto GT from“ civilian” versions are the better front and rear anti-roll bars, lowered springs and updated valve dampers added to a standard all independent suspension with MacPherson struts at the front and trailing arms at the rear. Every used Fiat Punto is equipped with a power assisted steering and a skid reducing anti-lock system for the brakes, so there was no need to change that. But because of the more powerful engine, a used Fiat Punto GT has 14 inch 185/55 low profile wheels and the traction control system to prevent spinning. This wheel spin is produced by the turbocharged, intercooled four cylinder 1. 4 litre engine, capable of producing a hefty 130 horsepower, which enables a used Fiat Punto GT to reach from 0 to 60 mph( 0 to 100 km/h )in 7. 9 seconds and the maximum speed is 124 mph( 200 km/h ).
